Preparation

In order to allow data communication between the EtherNet/IP supported digital welding machine and the robot, a PLC is required to play the role of a gateway. This example uses a PLC from LS ELECTRIC as the standard PLC for Doosan Robotics welding applications. To configure the PLC as a gateway, it is necessary to download the PLC Project posted on the Doosan Robotics website and the XG5000 software from LS ELECTRIC.

Detailed information and required software for the standard model are as follows:

The example in this document uses a PLC from LS ELECTRIC and a welding machine from EWM.
